Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

In this post i am going to review  Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundtion.

I stumbled across the Match Perfection whilst looking for my usual Rimmell Stay Matte Foundation, i had for a while been thinking about trying out new foundations as i had been using the Stay Matte for quite some time, so when i saw this and had a go with the testers, i thought i would take the plunge and give it a go!

Firstly when i bought it 2 weeks ago it was on special offer for £5.99, with a saving of £2, which i thought was great, as this is a 30ml product.
So Match Perfection is along the same lines as alot of the foundations that are being introduced now in that it claims to 'match perfectly' to your skin tone. This particular foundation contains Advanced Smart Tone Technology to create perfectly flawless skin and Enhanced Sapphire Radiance to create an illuminating glow.

In my opinion this is a medium coverage foundation, it has a pump applicator which i really like and it has been packaged in a really nice glass bottle, which makes it feel that little bit classier and looks alot nicer on your dressing table.
Now i have combination skin and can sometime find that foundations are a little bit too heavy for my skin, but not this one, it is a lovely light liquid formulation that is a dream to apply, i find that it is not too thick and it blends beautifully into the skin whether applied with a brush or your fingertips.
As far as the colour match goes, i was pleasantly surprised, i didn't expect it to work especially as the colour i bought (ivory) is not normally a shade i would buy. I usually buy a darker shade, but these seemed very dark in this range.
I find that this foundation is not as matte as i would normally prefer but this is easily resolved with a light dusting of powder, it also has great staying power and i find i can normally go about 6hrs before really feeling the need to touch up.

The only negative that i have about this product is the smell, it has a smell very similar to suncream, it is not really a horrible scent, but it is one that i could live without smelling every time i apply my foundation, but again this is just my personal preference.

So all in all i would definitely recommend this foundation, however due to the scent of this foundation cant 100% hand on heart say i would repurchase.

Have you tried it? let me know what you think? What foundations are you liking at the moment?

(Apologies for not inserting a photo of the foundation but my camera has died!!)
